Project description

The U Arena will be a modular and versatile room capable of hosting 32,000 spectators in rugby stadium mode and up to 40000 in concert mode.

Project Architect Christian de Portzamparc, a stadium on 3 sides, surrounded by shops, a parking level, and 33000 m2 of offices. In show configuration, the U Arena will be the largest theater in Europe.

When the project starts in early 2011, Vinci Construction France envisages it in a classic way … before seeing it again via BIM a few months later. Why make such a reversal? To facilitate the realization of this complex work and be more efficient in all phases, from design to completion, through connections to digital reading production machines.
